As the title says
Last Thursday we went for the detailed scan. The sonographer aunty checked the usual stuff like internal organs, head and limb measurements, the face, etc etc. After poking my tummy for few minutes, she pointed a spot on the screen and said, “See? It’s a boy”. The truth is, I didn’t see anything. Nevertheless I nodded with a big grin
Hey, she must’ve done this a million times, right?

She even marked the spot with a circle and arrow picture so we won’t miss it. Nice touch, aunty!
I don’t have much nausea or indigestion anymore lately *amen*, with the exception of the past 3 days. Dunno what’s going on. However, I do feel like a blowfish each night after dinner. Not just my tummy but my body feel really stuffed and my skin so stretched it feels like cracking and exploding anytime. And some days I swear I grow bigger overnight
Cimot has been moving a lot too lately. It started as soft *plop* and twitches 2 weeks ago but getting more and more positively like a bump. Judging by his position during the last scan, he’s been having fun headbutting my tummy each day (he’s upside down, btw). And this cheeky little fella is playing hide-n-seek with us! Of course I can feel him moving, but Panda only managed to catch him once so far. How on earth does he know we are trying to catch him? I guess this is one of the unsolved mystery of the universe. Oh well.
That’s me on the left, at 18 weeks

Update on Feb 18 @ 2:59pm
Ok, the last update to this post. Promise. Really can’t resist this one.
Below is my sis’ pic taken at 20 weeks. Notice something? Yep, same flowery top
That’s because I raided her wardrobe and stole most of her maternity tops, heehee …

Toto, our beloved Japanese Spitz, died this morning.
I wasn’t the one who bought him as a puppy, nor was I the one who took care of him daily. Nevertheless, I had a good cry in my office toilet after receiving the news from dad. Probably that’s my hormones talking. I also have the feeling that he waited for my parents to return so he could say goodbye. Dad did say Toto was ‘hysterical’ when they reached home after spending more than a month in Sydney.
He was such a silly dog since the beginning. I remember meeting the fluffy furball for the first time in my sister’s dorm room some 11 or 12 years ago, and he was such an adorable little puppy. Despite my sister’s attempts to train him, he was notorious for peeing everywhere and barking at the poor old turtles when mom scolded him. In his adulthood, where most dogs calm down and act more mature, he still loved playing with balls and ropes which made even the vet surprised. I guess he was either playful in nature or intelligently challenged :)
Goodbye silly old dog! May you rest in peace. Say hi to Honey and Blackie if you meet them up there, will ya?

She’s such an adorable little angel. And a big angel she is! In one month she grew from 3.4kg to a whopping 5kg and still growing very fast.
And just another proof of how unmotherly-like I am, she yelled and cried the moment she was put into my arms *sigh* Bad luck for you, Cimot. You are stuck with me.
