After waiting for more than a month, I got impatient and sent an email to the immigration. And good thing I did because it turned out our case officer forgot to ask for assurance of support but our application status was listed as pending for that document. Another good thing is that the guy who received my call was really nice and helpful and settled the matters in 10 minutes. I expected to talk to a grumpy staff who had me as the 497th caller of the day.

So what now? Once the letter got to us and then to my sister, she has to pay a hefty sum of money to guarantee that we won’t be starving to death during our first 2 years of moving there Then cross our fingers that we will hear the good news by mid-April.
