This is the day that I will remember …

… as the day that I lied down, Cleopatra style, in the fitting room inside Kiddy Palace

What I feel like doing …

Go to a beach resort. Swim in the cool swimming pool. Eat nasi goreng at pool side. And sip the pina colada. Read a good book by the poolside. Hop over to the spa. Have BBQ seafood dinner (and eat a LOT!).

What I’m doing now …
Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Persuade Cimot to stop pummeling my tummy for a while. Breathe in. Breathe out. Say one full sentence without huffing and puffing. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Cimot is 3.1kg now  , already head down, and all his limbs are all facing front. No wonder it feels like carrying an alien lately, he’s been clawing my tummy day and night. Wrong direction, Cimot! Exit is not that way!

9 weeks to go!

After months of practicing, my tummy can pose by itself in pictures. Owner not needed. Next time it has photo session maybe I can quickly go downstairs and eat ice kachang.

4 months to go!

img_3424.JPG

4 months. 16 weeks. And I already feel like a whale.

Can’t imagine what it’s like to be much bigger than this  Although I feel much better than in the 1st trimester, the nausea never really goes away and the worst is in the evening after dinner when I feel REALLY (big bold red letters here) stuffed and the thought of throwing up half the contents of my tummy seems more and more appealing each day. Breathlessness starts to kick in and Cimot is getting better and better at soccer/kickboxing/capoeira/tap dancing. Ouch.

Another thing that bothers me since the beginning of my pregnancy: I eat like a girl now  I really miss the days when I could cleanly sweep one whole portion of meal. Now I can barely eat half of it. Whatever happen with eating for two that everyone is raving about? That’s one of the thing that I was looking forward to in pregnancy (besides boobs improvement, of course, which sadly also does not perform as well as I hoped for :rolleye: ). Perhaps that explains my measly 4kg weight gain so far. Thankfully Cimot is growing fine.

And my waistline reaches 100cm! I’m officially as big as Panda now

We have an outy!

As the title says

Last Thursday we went for the detailed scan. The sonographer aunty checked the usual stuff like internal organs, head and limb measurements, the face, etc etc. After poking my tummy for few minutes, she pointed a spot on the screen and said, “See? It’s a boy”. The truth is, I didn’t see anything. Nevertheless I nodded with a big grin  Hey, she must’ve done this a million times, right?

She even marked the spot with a circle and arrow picture so we won’t miss it. Nice touch, aunty!

I don’t have much nausea or indigestion anymore lately *amen*, with the exception of the past 3 days. Dunno what’s going on. However, I do feel like a blowfish each night after dinner. Not just my tummy but my body feel really stuffed and my skin so stretched it feels like cracking and exploding anytime. And some days I swear I grow bigger overnight 8-O

Cimot has been moving a lot too lately. It started as soft *plop* and twitches 2 weeks ago but getting more and more positively like a bump. Judging by his position during the last scan, he’s been having fun headbutting my tummy each day (he’s upside down, btw). And this cheeky little fella is playing hide-n-seek with us! Of course I can feel him moving, but Panda only managed to catch him once so far. How on earth does he know we are trying to catch him? I guess this is one of the unsolved mystery of the universe. Oh well.

Below is my sis’ pic taken at 20 weeks. Notice something? Yep, same flowery top  That’s because I raided her wardrobe and stole most of her maternity tops, heehee …

All dogs go to heaven

Toto, our beloved Japanese Spitz, died this morning.

I wasn’t the one who bought him as a puppy, nor was I the one who took care of him daily. Nevertheless, I had a good cry in my office toilet after receiving the news from dad. Probably that’s my hormones talking. I also have the feeling that he waited for my parents to return so he could say goodbye. Dad did say Toto was ‘hysterical’ when they reached home after spending more than a month in Sydney.

He was such a silly dog since the beginning. I remember meeting the fluffy furball for the first time in my sister’s dorm room some 11 or 12 years ago, and he was such an adorable little puppy. Despite my sister’s attempts to train him, he was notorious for peeing everywhere and barking at the poor old turtles when mom scolded him. In his adulthood, where most dogs calm down and act more mature, he still loved playing with balls and ropes which made even the vet surprised. I guess he was either playful in nature or intelligently challenged :)

Goodbye silly old dog! May you rest in peace. Say hi to Honey and Blackie if you meet them up there, will ya?

She’s such an adorable little angel. And a big angel she is! In one month she grew from 3.4kg to a whopping 5kg and still growing very fast.

And just another proof of how unmotherly-like I am, she yelled and cried the moment she was put into my arms *sigh* Bad luck for you, Cimot. You are stuck with me.
